Back to School Anxiety Coping Mechanisms

thegivingtreecentre

Updated: Aug 16, 2023

Anxiety Canada has some coping mechanisms for back-to-school anxiety which include:

-Ensuring your child is getting enough sleep and eating properly

-Providing empathy when they express their concerns

-Working closely with them to problem solve

-Helping them re-frame and focus on the positive aspects

-Caregiver self-reflection of behaviours and how they may be impacting your child’s anxiety

At The Giving Tree Centre, we understand how difficult this time can be for your child and family. If your child is still struggling and you need further support, we are here to help! Our experienced team of mental health providers are available immediately, no waitlist. Please reach out today for a complementary consultation!
